After investing in a Mitutoyo – PJ-A3010F-100 Shadow Graph back in 2019, R & A Engineering have added a Keyence IM-7500, Image Dimension Measurement system, to their Inspection department.

35 years ago today Richard & Alison started trading as R & A Engineering, producing components for the Aerospace industry. Over the years the company has grown from strength to strength, serving a wide range of industries.

R & A Engineering are investing in future skills for the industry, sending two of our young engineers to Bucks New University to study for a degree in BEng (Hons) Engineering Design – Mechanical Engineering. 

They will be studying with the University one day per week and working with us 4 days per week, combining practical experience and educational learning to enhance their skillset.

This underlines our commitment to our staff, to further their skills and encourage young engineers into the industry.

We have recently ordered a Citizen L32-VIII LFV 7 Axis CNC Sliding Head Turning Centre. This will enable us to expand into new markets and increase our machining capacity in our turning section.

R&A are proud to announce that we have passed our re-certification audit with NQA for ISO9001-2015.

R&A are pleased to announce that we have taken delivery of our Robojob Mill Assist-E. This will increase our CNC milling capacity and allow us to be more efficient in high volume components.

R&A have recently ordered a new ROBOJOB MILL ASSIST-E, this will substantially increase our capacity by automating our machining process.

We have a vacancy for a CNC Miller/Setter/Operator.

Experience on Heidenhain, Haas & Siemens controls – 3 & 4 axis. 5 axis preferred but not essential as training can be given.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

•     Programming, setting and running CNC mills
•     Completing small to medium batch work plus prototypes
•     Working with a variety of materials
•     Committing to over time when necessary
•     Maintain production records to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and company procedure
•     Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative
•     CAD/CAM capabilities would be an advantage

Previous ISO 9001 experience would be beneficial.

Salary – Depending on experience
